SOZAN English Camp
Okayama Kibi Chuo Camping Ground
I attended Sozan Junior High School held annual English Camp on July 8th and 9th 2013. This camp was for 120 third grade students. The aim of the camp is for the students to be immersed in the English language and experience a number of foreign cultures. Teachers and guests from a variety of countries attend to help the students speak English. The teachers came from the the English speaking countries including: Australia, the USA, and Canada. There were also a number of university students whose second language is English from Mongolia, China, the Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand.
The students participated in an individual speech competition and a group based skit competition. The skit I participated "Zoo was fun". I have included a link at the end of the post. At the end of the camp the students and teachers sang a song from Aladdin also linked.
Overall the camp was excellent with the students using English all the time.
